ChargePoint: Electric Vehicle Charging On the Go App Reviews

This is a good app for finding charging stations. Being able to filter and sort the list based upon current needs is essential. The only thing that it is missing is a trip planner.

Will show you where the stations are, keeps track of the status in real time. Great to know where you parked.

The app works. Charging works. Customer service is friendly when I have to call in. No complaints.

So far so good! Easy to use and keeps me informed of charging status.

Love the real time status. Like that I can filter stations to show only those I can use. Like being able to quickly find a station and navigate to it using google maps. Like that it takes me to session status while charging.

Lousy user interface design. It wont function step by step as it should instead it asks me to pay before I even charged! The APP is very hard to maneuver and to understand what the heck is going on. After 12 tries at 3-4 different Chare Point stations, it will stop charging with 0 kWh. Ahahahaha. And I own a brand new 2017 vehicle. Wow! Dumb sucky app. And no. No station numbers when I see 4 stations. WTH!!

Provides data like how often station is used at what specific times. Very helpful for trip planning.

I have my energy company in the system but ChargePoint does not have any of their energy savings plans. I have sent them emails with the plans and rates but no response. At the very least, if they are going to try and map every energy company and plan, keep it up to date. If not, please let us choose a custom rate plan and allow us to put the energy dollar rate in. I am giving the app 2 stars because of the lack of response and the inability to have an accurate rate plan. Other wise, I like the system.

I like the history feature but my favorite feature is the notifications when a station becomes available

I like how this app tracks energy used and miles added as well as graphs.

I love using ChargePoint at mec to charge my car.

Only problem - the app wont log in if your password has a special character (such as %). (Havent tried latest update to see if that bug is gone). Everything else works great. Easy to locate stations, realtime status during charge, no problems.

I purchased a ChargePoint Home for its scheduling and monitoring benefits. Yet during account setup it a credit card is required. I have no plans of using a street EVSE other than home or work (free ChargePoint). Its frustrating that they make it a requirement when it should only be optional. It should only be required when its used at public ChargePoints and not as a pre-requisite to a new account. At the very least they should enable Apple Pay if theyre going to require occasional funding. With out Apple Pay and with the credit card requirement Im likely to send back the Home and upgrade to a JuiceBox.

Would love to know more of what is around the charging station. Maybe even to be able to search for things near a station to help plan trips and what to do while charging. Restaurants, movie theaters, malls, etc.

As the title says. Chargepoint chargers are the best Ive used.
